Today the CEC signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Palestinian official media, which aims to enhance the educational role of the official media and raise awareness amongst citizens throughout all stages of the electoral process. The two parties also agreed on the terms and details regarding unpaid advertising for all campaigns of the nominated electoral lists via official media outlets.

CEC Chairman, Hanna Nasir, met today with the Representative of the Russian Federation to the State of Palestine, Gocha Buachidze, and extended an official invitation to observe the 2021 Palestinian elections

The CEC, the Independent Commission for Human Rights (ICHR) and the Civic Coalition for Election’s Support and Observation, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the objective of coordinating their efforts to support the electoral process, overcome foreseeable obstacles, and enable a comprehensive observation process. The MoU also aims to contribute to citizen awareness raising and education, particularly women and youth, by encouraging them to participate in the Palestinian local and general elections of 2021.
