Jerusalemites are automatically registered in the voters list

The CEC announces to Jerusalem citizens holders of blue Israeli ID cards that due to inability to open registrations centers inside the city of Jerusalem, all Jerusalem residents are considered automatically registered in the voters list through the open registry during general elections. Not being registered does not deprive citizens from participating in presidential and legislative elections. However, Jerusalemites wishing to register may do so through registration centers in the suburbs such as in Al- Ram or Abu Dis provided that they are able to proof residency through water or electricity bills. However, already registered voters are not required to register again.

In another context, registration centers in Gaza are still receiving increased numbers of registrants who reached 259 thousand until Saturday, 16th February, 56,000 of which in the West Bank and 203,000 in the Gaza Strip. The CEC will enter data of new registrants within 4-6 weeks of end of registration.
