202 thousand registrants until Friday evening

Voter registration centers are receiving unprecedented numbers of registrants with a total of 202,457 till end of Friday, February 15th. 155,469 of which are in the Gaza Strip and 46,988 in the West Bank.

The difference in the two percentages between the west Bank and Gaza Strip is attributed to having the voter registry updated in the West Bank on an annual basis ( Last registry update was last August), while it has not been updated in Gaza since 2007.

Registration statistics indicate that the lowest registration turnout was in Hebron with only 66% of the eligible registrants.

 

Registration centers are open on Friday and Saturday Jerusalemites are automatically registered in the voters list
