Nomination for the re-run local elections ends Saturday

The Central Elections Commission (CEC) announces that submission of nomination applications for the upcoming re-run local elections ends on Saturday, 18th August at 3:00 Pm. CEC offices will be open on Friday and Saturday from 8 am until 3 Pm to receive nomination applications.

The CEC will publish the preliminary register of electoral lists and candidates on Monday, August 27th through its Website, district offices and localities councils. Citizens may review the candidate lists and submit objections to nominations during the legal period of objections from August 27th – 29th.
