Nomination for the 2018 re-run elections is now closed

The Central Elections Commission (CEC) announced today the closing of nomination for the 2018 re-run elections in 18 localities in the West Bank which lasted for ten days.  During this period, the CEC received 22 nomination applications. 

The CEC will meet later today to review and process the submitted applications. The preliminary register of electoral lists and their candidates will be published on 27 August at CEC’s webpage, district offices and localities councils to enable citizens to review and submit any objections in accordance with the law.

The final list of candidate lists will be published on 8 September after adjudication of appeals, if any, by the elections cases court in parallel with the beginning of elections campaigning.
