CEC meets with Election Work Group (EWG)

CEC Chairman, Dr. Hanna Nasir met today with the Elections Work Group (EWG) at CEC’s headquarters in Al- Bireh as part of CEC regular meetings with donors.

The meeting discussed the latest developments concerning local elections which were completed last June as well as CEC strategic plan for the years 2014-2016. Other issues discussed is the completion of voter registry update in the West Bank and Gaza despite of Israeli Authority’s refusal to transfer registration applications from Gaza to Ramallah.

On their part, donors expressed support to the work of the CEC and willingness to provide financial support to a number of projects within CEC’s strategic plan.
