The Central Elections Commission (CEC) began conducting nine training sessions today for supervisors and employees of the exhibition and challenge centers in preparation of the exhibition and challenge period scheduled from March 1-3.

The Central Elections Commission (CEC) welcomed the decree issued by President Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday, further promoting public freedoms and facilitating the work of the CEC throughout the legislative and presidential elections. The decree ensures the level of freedom of expression necessary to carry out a free, fair, and democratic electoral process where all lists and candidates have equal opportunities. 

The Central Elections Commission (CEC) Chairman, Dr. Hanna Nasir, announced at a press conference that the transfer of a number of citizen’s registration centers without their knowledge was not due to a hacking of the voter registry system, but rather indicates an abuse of the CEC’s e-service.
 

The Central Elections Commission (CEC) announced a total of 2.6 million registered voters as of the end of the registration process at midnight yesterday, including 421,000 new registrants, now able to participate in the upcoming 2021 Palestinian Elections. This total constitutes 93.3% of the 2.8 million eligible voters in the Palestinian territories according to the estimations of the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS)
