Electoral Districts of Local Authorities

The Central Elections Commission (CEC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Local Government (MoLG) and the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS), issues the Electoral Districts Manual for Local Authorities once every two years. It provides an update to the local authorities’ data, communities and seats, based on the amendments provided by the Council of Ministers and MoLG, including the merging, separation, creation and upgrading of local authorities, maintaining the CEC’s database up to date making it ready for any electoral process.

 

In adherence to the logic of periodic issuance of the Electoral Districts Manual for Local Authorities, the 2023 Manual was issued according to the latest changes and amendments. The Manual includes the approved names, numbers and types of local authorities (municipal council and village council), as well as their districts and their approved affiliated residential communities.

 

Note: Refugee Camps in the West Bank are not included with the local authorities undergoing local elections.
