The Chairman of the Central Elections Commission (CEC), Dr. Rami Hamdallah received the Chief of Palestinian Civil Police (PCP), Major General Yousef Al-Helou today at the CEC’s HQ in Al-Bireh, in the presence of the CEC’s CEO, Ashraf Al-Shuaibi.

Mr. Ashraf Al-Shuaibi officially assumed his duties as Chief Electoral Officer of the Central Elections Commission, in accordance with the decision issued by the Central Elections Commission.

Today, Monday, the Central Elections Commission, headed by Dr. Rami Hamdallah, held its first meeting after the issuance of the presidential decree restructuring it.

President Mahmoud Abbas issued a presidential decree regarding the reformation of the Central Elections Committee.
