Postponement of the General Elections

Following the meeting held in the presidential quarters in Ramallah last night, and pursuant to the decision of the Palestinian leadership to postpone the General Elections, the CEC declares stopping the electoral process as of Friday morning.

Publishing the final Electoral lists and Candidates was scheduled fo today in conjunction with the start of the Campaigning period.

The Commission hopes to complete the implementation of the Palestinian Elections at the earliest possible opportunity.
