The CEC organizes a workshop on the integration of People with Disabilities into CEC’s work plans

The CEC in cooperation with the General Union of People with Disabilities organized a two-day workshop in Ramallah on the integration of People with Disabilities into CEC’s work strategies.

During the workshop funded by the EU, participants proposed activities for intervention within a three year plan aiming at addressing the needs of People with Disabilities in future electoral activities to facilitate their electoral participation. The CEC will be working in the coming months on endorsing the final plan and taking necessary steps for implementation.

It should be indicated that the CEC has previously cooperated with the General Union of People With Disabilities in developing an initial action plan and identifying areas on intervention that seek to integrate the concept of disability within CEC’s strategies and procedures. This falls within CEC’s vision of enabling all segments of Palestinian Society to exercise their electoral rights and facilitate their electoral participation.
