The CEC releases a specialized election course in cooperation with four Palestinian universities
The CEC has cooperated in the past two months with four Palestinian Universities in the West Bank and Gaza, namely; Al- Najah National University, Birzeit, Al-Quds and Alzhar to develop an elective course on elections as part of an EC funded project. The course covers issues related to electoral systems, democratic practices and types of elections and will mainly target students of political studies and higher education. This initiative comes as part of CEC’s mission in disseminating electoral knowledge and democratic practices among Palestinians and to encourage academic research in this field.
The course will be released the first academic semester of 2014-2015 in the said universities. The final course evaluation will take place at the end of semester in preparation for enrolling the course into the Universities fixed taught programs.
