The CEC announces the end of registration for the upcoming local elections
Today the Central Elections Commission (CEC) announced the end of registration, exhibition and challenge for the upcoming local elections which commenced last Saturday. 295 registration centers where opened in the West Bank localities where elections will be held.
In the coming days, the CEC will process the objection applications submitted as well as registration data and issue the final voters’ list which forms the basis for nomination and voting. Accordingly, unregistered citizens will not be able to practice their rights in nomination and voting.
In another context, the CEC will soon commence preparations for the nomination process which will be open on 6 September for ten days according to law.
