Commencement of Accreditation of Media Representatives for the 2011 Local Elections

The CEC announces the commencement of its accreditation process for media representatives who wish to cover the 2011 Local Municipal Elections. Media accreditation enables media representatives to enter registration, polling, counting centers and media center.

The following are the currently scheduled dates of the primary phases of the electoral process:

Exhibition and challenge       April 9th—13th  2011
Candidate Nomination         May 25th—June 3rd  2011
Electoral Campaigning         June 25th—July 7th 2011
Polling Day                         July 9th 2011

Media representatives are required to submit the following documents to be accredited by the CEC:

•  Media Representative Accreditation Form
•  Media Organization Verification Form
• Two 2X3cm passport photographs
• A copy of identification or passport

Application forms may be obtained and submitted either through the CEC website, or in person at the CEC HQ in Ramallah, Qasr Al-Murjan Building, Al Baloua, near Jawwal Circle.
