Presidential Decree No. () of 2005

Concerning the Formation of the Election Cases Court

Chairman of the PLO’s Executive Committee

President of the Palestinian National Authority,

After reviewing  the Amended Basic Law of 2003, and its further amendments,

Based on Article (29) of the Elections Law No. (9) of 2005,  

Based on the endorsement of the High Judicial Council provided in its session held on December 12, 2005,

And based on the powers vested in us and for the sake of public interest,

We hereby issue the following:

Article (1)

Judge Amin Wafi shall be relieved of his membership of the Election Cases Court for pilgrimage, and shall be replaced by Judge Siraj Khazandar.

Article (2)

All competent authorities, each within its own jurisdiction, shall implement the provisions of this Decree, which shall enter into force upon its issuance, and shall be published in the Official Gazette.

Issued in the city of Ramallah on December 12, 2005.
