Presidential Decree No. (3) of 2006

Concerning Changing the Chief of the Election Cases Court

Chairman of the PLO’s Executive Committee

President of the Palestinian National Authority,

After reviewing  the Amended Basic Law of 2003, and its further amendments, and the Elections Law No. (9) of 2005, especially Article (29),

Based on the endorsement of the High Judicial Council on January 29, 2006,

And based on the powers vested in us and for the sake of public interest,

 

We hereby issue the following:

 

Article (1)

Judge Emad Salim shall be appointed as the Chief of the Election Cases Court.

 

Article (2)

All competent authorities, each within its own jurisdiction, shall implement the provisions of this Decree, which shall enter into force upon its issuance, and shall be published in the Official Gazette.

 

Issued in the city of Ramallah on January 29, 2006.
