Decree No. (39) of 2009

Concerning the Formation of the Election Cases Court

President of the State of Palestine

Chairman of the PLO’s Executive Committee

President of the Palestinian National Authority,

After reviewing  the Amended Basic Law of 2003, and its further amendments, and the Decree by Law No. (1) of 2007, concerning General Elections, especially Article (20),

Based on the endorsement of the High Judicial Council on October 28, 2009,

And based on the powers vested in us and for the sake of public interest,

We hereby issue the following:

Article (1)

The Election Cases Court shall be formed out of the following Judges:

1. Judge Fat-hi Hammudah Hassan Abu Suroor                                                Chief
2. Judge Ali Kamel Ali Al-Fara                                                              Member
3. Judge Hani Bolus Salim An-Natour                                                   Member
4. Judge Adnan Abdelkarim Mohmmad Al-Shuaibi                              Member
5. Judge Yusif Shukri Michael As-Salibi                                                Member
6. Judge Mohammad Al-Haj Ahmad Mohammad Suliman Omar         Member
7. Judge Siraj Jabr No’man Khazandar                                                  Member
8. Judge Mohammad Yusif Abdallah Al-Liddawi                                 Member
9. Judge Mohammad Sha’ban Mohammad Al-Haj Yassin                    Member

Article (2)

All competent authorities, each within its own jurisdiction, shall implement the provisions of this Decree, which shall enter into force upon its issuance, and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
