Cabinet Resolution No. (02/26/14/C.M/S.F) of 2012

Postponement of Complementary Elections of Local Councils

 

Based on the powers vested in us by law and for the sake of public interest,

After reviewing the following:

The Amended Basic Law of 2003, and its further amendments;

The Local Councils’ Elections Law No. (10) of 2005, and its further amendments;  

Local Authorities Law No. (1) of 1997, and its further amendments;

Cabinet Resolution No. (01/19/14/C.M/S.F) of 2012;

 

The Cabinet, in its session held on November 20, 2012 in the city of Ramallah, hereby decided the following:

Article (1)

To postpone the conduction of complementary elections of local councils scheduled for Saturday November 24, 2012 until further notice, due to the current circumstances our people are facing.

Article (2)

All competent authorities, each within its own jurisdiction, shall implement the provisions of this resolution. The resolution shall enter into force upon its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.

 

Issued in the city of Ramallah on November 20, 2012.
