Decree No. () of 2014

Concerning the replacement of one the members of the Central Elections Commission

 

President of the State of Palestine

Chairman of the PLO’s Executive Committee,

After reviewing the Amended Basic Law of 2003 and its further amendments, the Decree by Law No. (1) of 2007, concerning General Elections,

Presidential Decree issued on December 22, 2011, concerning the reconstitution of the Central Elections Commission,

Based on the powers vested in us, and for the sake of public interest,

 

We hereby issue the following:

 

Article (1)

The appointment of Dr. Lamis Al-Alami as a member of the Central Elections Commission, succeeding Mrs. Khawla Shakhshir.

Article (2)

All that contradicts with the provisions of this Decree shall be nullified.

Article (3)

All competent authorities, each within its own jurisdiction, shall implement the provisions of this Decree, which shall enter into force upon its issuance, and shall be published in the Official Gazette.

 

Issued in the city of Ramallah on June 12, 2014.
