Decree No. () of 2024 Concerning the Reconstitution of the Central Elections Commission

Based on the PLO Basic Law, the Amended Basic Law of 2003 and its amendments, and after reviewing the Decree law No. (1) of 2007, concerning the General Elections and its amendments, the Decree Law No. (2) of 2020, concerning the Reconstitution of the Central Elections Commission, and based on the powers vested in us and for the sake of public interest,

We hereby issue the following:

Article (1)

The Central Elections Commission shall be reconstituted as follows:

Dr. Yusuf Awadallah                                      Member

Mr. Ahmed Al-Khalidi                                   Member

Article (2)

The commission mentioned above in Article (1) of this Decree, shall be responsible for the management, supervision, preparation and organization of elections, as well as undertaking all necessary procedures to ensure the integrity and freedom of elections, in accordance with the provisions of the law.

Article (3)

All that goes against the provisions of this Decree shall be nullified.

Article (4)

All competent authorities, each within its own jurisdiction, shall implement the provisions of this Decree. The Decree shall enter into force upon its issuance, and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
