• CEC Chairman discussed the latest developments with regards to general elections in light of his recent meeting with Mr. President, Mahmoud Abbas.
• The CEC reviewed the Cabinet’s decision No. 4/18 issued on 6 May 2019 with regards to the call for local elections in 14 localities and expressed its readiness to hold elections on the assigned date. The CEC confirmed that the inclusion of other localities should be via a cabinet decision.
• The CEC discussed and approved the elections timeline and elections estimated budget.

• CEC Chairman discussed with Commissioners the results of his meeting with president Mahmoud Abbas on 16 June 2019 regarding general elections and the possibility of issuing a presidential decree calling for presidential and legislative elections.
• CEO discussed the CEC’s preparations for re-run local elections of 2019 for which a cabinet decision was issued to hold it on 13 July 2019 in 17 localities.

• The CEC discussed the progress of the 2019 re-run local elections in the seven localities in which elections took place yesterday in accordance with the Cabinets’ decision. CEC Chairman indicated that the elections ran smoothly without any obstacles.
•  The CEC reviewed and approved the preliminary elections results.
