CEC Receives 28 List Nomination Applications

The Central Elections Commissions (CEC) announced that 28 electoral lists have submitted nomination applications as of noon today. The CEC held a meeting for its Commissioners, both in-person at its headquarters in Al-Bireh and via video conference at its Regional Office in Gaza, to examine the submitted nomination applications.

The CEC approved the nomination applications of eight new electoral lists today, bringing the total number of accepted lists to 13, while the remaining applications are currently under examination. The electoral lists accepted today are as follows: 

- Al-Mubadarah Al-Wataniyah Al-Filastiniyah “The Palestinian National Initiative List” (for change and ending the division)

- Watan Lil-Mostaqilleen “Homeland List for Independents”

- Filastin Tajma’ona “Palestine Unifies Us List”

- Al-Awdah “The Return List”

- Adalah “Justice List”

- Al-A’ahd Lil-Watan “Loyalty to the Homeland List” (independent)

- Al-Hirak Al-Filastini Al-Muwahhad “The Unified Palestinian Movement List”

- Nahdit Watan “Rising of a Nation List”

Nomination applications for the upcoming 2021 Legislative Council elections will continue being received until midnight tonight at both the CEC headquarters in Al-Bireh, and its Regional Office in Gaza.
