CEC Continues Receiving Nomination Applications until Midnight

The Central Elections Commission (CEC) announced that it will keep the doors of its headquarters in Al-Bireh and Regional Office in Gaza open until midnight tonight where staff will continue receiving nomination applications for the upcoming 2021 Legislative Council elections. No nomination applications shall be received after this time.

The CEC coordinated with the Monetary Authority and the Bank of Palestine to keep both branches of “Al-Irsal” in Al-Bireh, and Al-Rimal in Gaza, open until 5pm today to enable lists to continue depositing their nomination fees.

The CEC added that it will finalize examining nomination applications, and exhibit the preliminary register of electoral lists and their candidates to the public on April 6th to enable citizens to review the applications and submit objections and appeals against any of the electoral lists or their candidates.
