Nomination for the upcoming Local Council Elections is now closed

The CEC announces the end of the legal period for nomination which commenced on 28 March for ten days. During this period, the CEC received 761 nomination applications throughout its district offices across the West Bank. Currently, applications are being reviewed and processed in preparation for publishing the preliminary list of electoral lists and candidates on 9 April.

The CEC will publish the preliminary register of electoral lists and candidates at the premises of the local authorities, CEC district offices and webpage: www.elections.ps to enable all citizens to review them and submit objections to the nomination of lists or their candidates according to law and within the published elections timeline.

The final register of electoral lists and candidates will be published on 29 April after adjudicating of any challenges or appeals to nomination by the CEC and the competent court.
