The CEC Commences Accreditation of Observers and Journalists for the 2021 Local Elections

The CEC announced the commencement of receiving applications for the accreditation of observation bodies, as well as local and international journalists for the 2021 Local Elections.
The CEC indicates that the observer and journalist accreditation cards issued in the 2021 (postponed) General Elections, will remain valid for the 2021 Local elections.
The commission calls on journalists, and observation bodies who are not accredited by the CEC, and wish to cover or participate in observing the 2021 local elections, to submit accreditation applications online through the CEC’s Website (www.elections.ps) before Monday 25/10/2021 for Observation bodies, while accreditation of journalists will remain open until the 4th of December 2021. 
It should be indicated that in the 2021 (postponed) General Elections, the CEC accredited 71 local and 24 regional and international observation bodies. In addition to, 1718 journalists to cover the electoral process.
The process of Registration, Exhibition and Challenge during the first phase of the local elections will launch on Sunday morning 03/10/2021 and will end on Thursday evening 07/10/2021.
