The CEC announces the timeline for the 2016 Local Council Elections

In light of the recent Cabinet’s decision  assigning the date for Local Council Elections on October 8th, 2016, the CEC Commissioners convened today at CEC premises in Ramallah and through videoconference with Gaza where they approved the Local Elections Timeline.
The meeting also discussed elections procedures and technical arrangements for the coming period and reviewed the list of Local Authorities in which elections will be held in the West Bank and Gaza strip as approved by the Ministry of Local Governance.
