Elections will commence in the city of Deir al-Balah on April 25, concurrently with conducting elections in the local authorities of the West Bank, after the CEC decided to conduct the process according to the announced timetable.
In Deir al-Balah, according to the civil registry, the number of eligible electors is approximately 70,449 voters (F/M), who will cast their ballots in 12 polling centers.
Given the exceptional conditions in the Gaza Strip, the CEC dedicated locations suitable for being utilized as polling centers, including locations equipped specifically for this purpose, including empty land plots and tents, in light of schools being used as shelters.
As of yet, the CEC has accredited 292 observers representing 10 observer bodies inside the Gaza Strip, in addition to 45 journalists to cover the electoral process. Meanwhile, 675 polling staff will supervise the process in polling centers to guarantee conducting the electoral process in legal and professional due diligence.
Doors of the 12 polling centers mentioned below will open from 7:00 am until 5:00 pm.
