CEC Receives 25 List Nomination Applications

The Central Elections Commission (CEC) announced that a total of 25 list nomination applications have been submitted to compete in the upcoming 2021 Legislative Council elections as of the end of the day on Tuesday, March 30th.

The CEC accepted the nominations of five lists, and has officially informed the lists of its accreditation decision. The accredited lists are as follows: Falasteen Lal Jamee (Palestine for All List), Al-Taghyeer Al-Dimoqrati (Democratic Change List), Karamati (Dignity List), Al-Wafa Wal Bina (Loyalty and Building List), and Tafah Al-Kail (Enough is Enough List). Applications of the remaining lists are currently being examined.

The nomination period for the 2021 Legislative Council elections will remain open until midnight on Wednesday, March 31st, 2021. The preliminary register of competing electoral lists and candidates will be published on April 6th.
