A delegation from the CEC visits GS to monitor and assess CEC’s ongoing awareness projects

A delegation from the Central Elections Commission (CEC) visited Gaza Strip yesterday to monitor the progress of awareness projects implemented by the CEC and funded by the Government of Norway.

The delegation included Commissioner Yousif Awadallah, CEO, Hisham Kuhail, Deputy CEO, Ashraf Shuaibi, Head of Gaza Regional Office, Jameel Al-Khalidi and Public Relations representative, Raed Saqr. The delegation visited the Islamic and Gaza Universities and met with the Chairman of the Gaza university, Abdel Jaleel Sarsour, and Nasir Aldeen Farhat, Chairman of the Islamic University, as well as lecturers and students participating in the training of media students on elections coverage program which the CEC is currently implementing in five universities in both the WB and GS.

The delegation reviewed the project progress and media productions developed as an outcome of the project.

On the other hand, Mr. Kuhail also visited one of the workshops the CEC is currently implementing in Gaza as part of project ‘’ enhancing women participation in elections’ which is implemented simultaneously in both the WB and GS.
