The CEC, represented by CEO, Mr. Hisham Kuhail, participated as part of the Arab EMBs delegation in observing the Russian Presidential Elections.
The Arab delegation monitored elections progress in a number of polling and counting centers and the announcement of preliminary results in which eight candidates competed, most prominent of them is the Russian President, Mr. Vladimir Putin.
The elections participation turnout reached about 67% of the 107 million eligible voters, distributed over more than 97,000 polling centers. According to the preliminary results, candidate Vladimir Putin has won 76% of the votes.
It should be indicated the Russian election was observed by more than 1500 international observers from around the world.
