The CEC upgrades its IT work environment

The CEC has launched new and upgraded IT systems early this week to meet the current and future work demands.

The major introduced improvements included all components of the IT work environment whether of servers, operating systems, applications, databases, centralized storage and backup systems.

On the other hand, the CEC offices were equipped with PCs, laptops, printers and UPS devices with funds from the European Union and the Government of Norway. The systems were launched after several examination, monitoring and evaluations conducted last year to ensure efficiency and sustainability of introduced systems.

It should be indicated that the CEC relies on advanced technological systems and databases to facilitate the daily work tasks and implementation of electoral processes. It periodically develops these technologies to keep pace with the rapid technological advancements in this field.
