A CEC delegation meets with political factions in Gaza

A delegation from the CEC headed by Chairman, Dr. Hanna Nasir, met with representatives of political parties and factions in Gaza yesterday.

Dr. Nasir briefed the various national an Islamic factions on the progress of elections preparations. Dr. Nasir also discussed the formation of a follow-up Committee from among the factions to oversee adherence to the approved elections code of conduct which was signed by all parties last month. Representatives agreed on the Committee formation and to keep the CEC updated with regards to adherence with the articles of the code of conduct.

The CEC announces the commencement of nomination for the upcoming Local Elections Statement by the CEC on the Israeli practices to obstruct the progress of elections
