The CEC publishes the list of new registrants in the local districts

The CEC published today the list of new registrants who were registered during the period 23-27 July 2016 (69 thousand eligible voters aged 18 years and above) at the premises of the localities and CEC’s district offices for one day.

This procedure enables new registrants to review their registration information and object to their registration or the registration of others in accordance with the approved objection procedures in compliance with the law.

This date coincides with the legal period for submission of objections to registration and review of objections by the CEC and allows citizens, later on, to appeal CEC’s decisions before relevant courts.

In another context, the CEC handed over today soft copies of the new registrants list to representatives of political parties and will soon publish the final voters’ list containing all eligible voters for the upcoming Local Council Elections scheduled October 8th.
