The CEC participates in monitoring the Municipal Elections in Jordan

The CEC took part in monitoring the Municipal Elections in Jordan which was conducted last Tuesday upon receiving invitation from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs in coordination with the Palestinian Embassy in Amman.

The CEC delegation was headed by CEC Chairman Dr. Hanna Nasir and included CEO Mr. Hisham Kuhail and Head of PR department Mr. Fareed Tamallah. The delegation visited a number of voting centers in Amman and Madaba and monitored the progress of the electoral process since the opening of voting centers at 7:00 am till closure at 7:00 pm.

Based on the international standards for monitoring elections, the CEC will soon publish a monitoring report on the said elections to be handed to the official bodies in Jordan through our Embassy in Amman.

It is worth mentioning that the CEC regularly participates in observation missions to monitor elections in Arab and foreign countries as part of its vision to strengthen cooperation with counterparts from elections Commissions around the world to exchange experience and benefit from international experience in this field.
