A delegation from CIP visits the CEC

Today, the CEC’s Chairman Dr. Hanna Nasir and Secretary General, Dr. Rami Hamdullah, received a delegation from the Consortium of Independent Palestinians (CIP) at the CEC’s headquarters in Ramallah.

During the visit, Mr. Khalil Assaf, the head of delegation, expressed CIP’s confidence in the CEC as an independent organization as well as CIP’s continued support to the role and work of the Commission especially in the coming period in light of the recent Cairo reconciliation agreement.

On his part, Dr. Nasir thanked the delegation for their confidence and support and expressed CEC’s keenness to cooperate with CIP and the rest of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in the future. Dr. Nasir also confirmed the importance of having mutual cooperation among all stakeholders to make a success of elections and the democratic process in Palestine.
