Cabinet Decision on The Postponement of the Local Elections Date
Based on the authorities vested in us by the law and;
For the sake of the public interest and;
After reviewing Basic Law of 2003 and its amendments;
Local Council Elections Law No. 10 of 2005 and its amendments;
Local Authorities Law No. 1 of 1997 and its amendments;
Decision bylaw No. 1 of 2007 on general elections;
Cabinet Decision No. (03/28/13/ L.O/P.A) of 2009;
Cabinet Decision No. (01/36/13/ L.O/P.A) of 2010;
Cabinet Decision No. (02/46/13/ L.O/P.A) of 2010;
The Cabinet has decided in its session held in Ramallah on 10 June 2010 the following:
Article One
1.Cancelling Cabinet decision No. (01/36/13/ L.O/P.A) of 2010 regarding Local Council Elections.
2.Cancelling Cabinet decision No. (02/46/13/ L.O/P.A) of 2010 regarding the date of local council elections.
Article Two
The Cabinet shall decide later on the date of the next local council elections.
Article Three
The legal effect of all procedures undertaken based on the two decisions indicated in Article One of this decision shall be cancelled.
Article Four
The Central Elections Commission shall be notified of the content of the present decision.
Article Five
Everything that goes against the articles of the present decision shall be considered cancelled.
Article Six
Competent authorities, each within its jurisdiction, shall implement the provisions of this decision. The decision shall be effective from the date of its issue and shall be published in the official gazette.
