16 February, Ramallah - The Chairman of the Central Elections Commission (CEC), Dr. Hanna Nasir, received Mr. Robert H. Serry, the United Nation Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, at the CEC headquarters today. Dr. Nasir briefed Mr. Serry on the CEC’s preparations for the upcoming local elections, including preparations for the voter registration process which is scheduled to begin on 6 March.
This meeting, which was also attended by the Commission’s CEO, Mr. Hisham Kuhail, and Deputy CEO, Mr. Ashraf Shuaibi, comes as part of a series of meetings the CEC is holding to update political parties and local and international organizations on the latest developments in the electoral preparations.
