An Israeli expert on Palestinian affairs, Dr. Moshaih Elizzz*zad declared earlier that "Dr. Mohammad Shubair was a commissioner at the CEC and that he resigned from his position in protest of elections forgery".
The CEC condemns Dr. Elizzz*zadzzz*zs statements and confirms that Dr. Shubair was appointed as a CEC commissioner by a Presidential decree issued on 1/4/2005. On 27/8/2005, Dr. Shubair resigned to dedicate himself to the academic work. The CEC would also like to point out that no elections were held during Dr. Shubairzzz*zs membership with the CEC and the only elections which were held since his appointment was the 2006 PLC elections which enjoyed the highest level of integrity and transparency.
