The Central Elections Commission (CEC) received today, Thursday, the Observation Report on the Local Elections conducted on April 25, 2026, from the Arab World Democracy and Electoral Monitor (Al Marsad).
The hand over took place during the CEC’s CEO, Ashraf Al-Shuaibi, reception of a delegation representing the Civil Committee for Election Observation, comprised of Dr. Taleb Awad, Aref Jaffal and Shifa Bisharat.
Al-Shuaibi emphasized the importance of observation reports as they provide comments and recommendations, the CEC is keen on considering, as they contribute to advancing its work while organizing the electoral process in accordance with the highest standards of integrity and transparency. Furthermore, Al-Shuaibi noted the significant role CSOs will have, being a key partner to the CEC during the Legislative Elections scheduled for November 28, 2026.
