President Mahmoud Abbas, casted His ballot today, Saturday, for the 2026 Local Elections, in the polling center where he is registered in Al-Bireh, accompanied by Dr. Rami Hamdallah, Chairman of the Central Elections Commission (CEC).
Dr. Hamdallah, on behalf of the CEC and its staff, thanked H.E. the President for his eagerness to participate in the elections, and his interest in following up the electoral process. Meanwhile, Dr. Hamdallah pointed out the accreditation of approximately 170 guests and international observers, in addition to thousands of local observers and observers of electoral lists and candidates, to ensure the integrity and transparency of the electoral process.
Furthermore, the CEC Chairman assured H.E. the President of the smooth flow of the polling process across the different polling stations in the West Bank and in the city of Deir al-Balah in the Gaza Strip. Additionally, Dr. Hamdallah noted the CEC staff adherence to legal and technical procedures, in a way that guarantees the integrity and transparency of the electoral process.
