The CEC Invites Citizens to Verify their Data

Saturday, February 7, 2026

The Central Elections Commission (CEC) invited citizens to verify their data as displayed in the voters’ registry during the exhibition and challenges stage, commencing the morning of Saturday and concluding Monday afternoon.

In a press release, the CEC indicated that the exhibition and challenges stage is one of the milestones of electoral process, during which the preliminary voters’ registry is exhibited in all local authorities across the West Bank districts; mounting up to 420 local authorities. This allows citizens to review and verify their date before adopting the final registry.

Furthermore, the CEC clarified that the exhibition and challenges will last for three days; starting Saturday, February 7, 2026 and ending Monday afternoon, February 9, 2026, in accordance with the legal periods associated with the electoral stages under the 2026 Local Elections timeline. During this period, citizens are given the opportunity to review and verify their data, or submit a listing or challenge request in accordance with the provisions of the law.

In a step reflecting its digital transformation and expansion of access to electoral services, the CEC also published the voters’ registry on its official website www.elections.ps, allowing citizens to review the registry online by selecting the district and local authority. However, submitting challenge requests, if any, shall be in person through the exhibition and challenges centers in accordance with the law.

The CEC further elaborated that the challenges will be processed following clear and transparent legal procedures, including the right to respond and appeal before the specialized Court within the defined legal periods. In addition, the exhibition and challenges process is done under full observation in the presence of accredited observers and journalists, in a manner that enhances levels of transparency and trust in the electoral process.

The CEC reaffirmed that active participation at this stage contributes directly to enhancing the integrity of elections, guaranteeing fair and accurate representation to manage voters in the upcoming local elections.
