The Central Elections Commission (CEC) announced today, Saturday, closing registration for the 2026 Local Elections in all registration centers and CEC offices, as well as online, according to the approved plan and the legal period announced to the public.
The CEC will be publishing the final figures of registrants after completing the data collection and management during the upcoming period, in preparation for the exhibition & challenges stage, which will commence on February 7-9, 2026, allowing citizens the opportunity to review and correct their data – if needed – and submit their challenges against others.
With this regard, the CEC expresses its deepest gratitude and appreciation to all governmental institutions, civil society organizations (CSOs) and the media for contributing to the success of the registration stage, emphasizing its keenness for continued cooperation with everyone in favor of the success of the electoral process and realizing a wide and transparent social participation.
