The Central Elections Commission (CEC) addressed an official letter to Palestine Monetary Authority (PMA) requesting the opening of bank accounts to electoral lists nominated for the upcoming Legislative elections.
In the letter sent by CEC Chairman, Hanna Nasir to Governor of PMA, Firas Melhem, the CEC stated that it hopes that PMA will kindly instruct all banks operating in Palestine to facilitate the opening of bank accounts to competing electoral lists after the list presents the acceptance of nomination notification form endorsed by the CEC.
It should be indicated that nominations for PLC elections has commenced on Saturday, 20 March and will remain open for 12 days.
