The Central Elections Commission (CEC) organized a standard open broadcast today from 11am to 12pm in cooperation with the Palestinian Ministry of Information. Twenty-five local radio stations across the West Bank participated by discussing voter registration and the electoral process with the aim of motivating citizens to register and verify their information by the registration deadline on Tuesday, February 16th.
CEC Spokesman, Farid Ta’mallah, extended his gratitude to the Ministry of Information and participating radio stations for supporting the CEC’s efforts to raise awareness on the ongoing electoral process. Ta’mallah emphasized the significant role that media outlets play in raising public awareness throughout all stages of the electoral process, particularly that of voter registration due to it being a prerequisite to participating in the electoral process.
The CEC Spokesman invited all Palestinian media outlets to contribute to awareness-raising initiatives by publishing the information issued by the CEC on their official platforms.
