The Central Elections Commission (CEC) commenced today a two-day training program for new elections staff in the West Bank and Gaza Strip in preparations for the upcoming elections.
In his opening speech during the workshop held in Ramallah today, CEO Hisham Kuhail stated that the new employees represent the executive arm of the CEC in all stages of the electoral process, thus, the CEC sets up training plans to ensure they are fully skilled and equipped to implement elections in full compliance with the law.
Kuhail added that five workshops will be held today and tomorrow in Ramallah and Gaza for 120 newly appointed employees in the 16 electoral districts.
Participants will receive training on the elections law and procedures, CEC role and the code of conduct that will govern their work during all stages of the electoral process.
