CEC Chairman, Dr. Hanna Nasir, received today Mr.Tariq Tayel, the new Ambassador of the Republic of Egypt to the State of Palestine, at CEC HQ in Al-Bireh.
Dr. Nasir wished Mr. Tayel success in his new mission and briefed him on the work of the CEC and the prospects of holding general elections in Palestine.
On his part, Mr. Tayel appreciated the role of the CEC in enhancing democracy in Palestine, and stressed Egypt’s unchanging position with regards to the importance of ending Palestinian division and strengthening the Palestinian unity.
Also in attendance of the meeting were CEC’s CEO, Mr. Hisham Kuhail, Mr. Amro Saad, the Political Attaché at the Egyptian Embassy and Mr. Fareed Tamallah, CEC’s Public Relations Director.
