The Head of CEC Regional Office in Gaza, Mr. Jamil Al-Khalidi, received yesterday a delegation from the European Union that included Ms. Lisa Goutou, the political advisor to the special envoy for the Middle East peace process and Mr. Eric Bjork from the European Union’s Political Affairs Office.
Al-Khalidi briefed the visiting delegation on the latest developments with regards to general elections and CEC’s technical preparations. On his part, members of the delegation expressed their support to the holding of elections.
The meeting was also attended by Mr. Raed Al-Samouni, the head of electoral procedures section, and Mr. Raed Saqr from the Public Relations Office.
