The CEC participated in observing the municipal elections in Tunisia which was held yesterday, as part of the delegation of the Arab Elections Management Bodies Organization.
CEC delegation included secretary general, Lamis Al-Alami, CEO, Hisham Kuhail and district coordinators, Khaled Suleiman and Ghasan Abu Al-Hasan. The delegation observed the polling process in a number of polling and counting centers, attended the inauguration of the elections media center and met with Tunisian and Arab officials.
It should be indicated that 5.3 million voters are eligible to vote in the first municipal elections held since 2011 to select 350 members of municipal councils across Tunisia.
