The CEC Chairman, Dr. Hanna Nsair, met today with members of the National Democratic Institute (NDI) observation mission to the 2017 local elections.
Dr. Nasir briefed the mission on CEC’s latest preparations for the upcoming local elections scheduled on 13 May and welcomed the presence of local and international observers throughout all phases of the process.
On their part, NDI representatives expressed their appreciation for CEC’s efforts in facilitating the work of observers.
It should be indicated that the CEC had earlier addressed invitations to diplomatic missions accredited in Palestine and international observation missions to observe the upcoming local elections in accordance with the Law and in compliance with international standards
