The CEC announces the end of voting for the 2012 Complementary Elections

At 7:00 pm this evening, the CEC announced the end of voting for the 2012 Complementary Local Elections.

In a press conference held at CEC’s media center in Ramallah this evening, the CEC announced that number of voters has reached 32564 with a turnout of 45.6%. The highest voting percentage was in Kufor Qadoum in Qalqilia with 79.4% whereas the lowest was in Marj Ibn Amer in Jenin with 13.9%.

CEC’s Chairman, Dr. Hanna Nasir announced that the counting of votes has commenced half an hour after the closure of polling centers. The preliminary election results will be announced tomorrow during a press conference at the Best Eastern hotel in Ramallah at 11:00 am.
